Backend Team Lead · Go

I speed up high-load Go services and grow the team that runs them: 10× throughput, MTTR down 3×, juniors reaching mid-level in six months.

02 / HOW I WORK

Principles that survived production.

This is how I run the system and the team, day to day.

01

Architecture for change

I optimize what profiling, tracing and load tests prove is slow. Simple solutions and explicit boundaries over premature complexity.

02

Reliability as a process

On-call rotation, blameless incident reviews and post-mortems. Full tracing coverage, so MTTR drops from ~3 hours to 1 hour.

03

Growing the team through context

Mentoring, code review and tech talks. I give engineers the 'why' and ownership — juniors grow into mid-level engineers, review time drops.

03 / STACK

What I work with every day.

Each group comes with what it delivers in production.

$Languages
Go (1.16–1.24) Python SQL

High-load services with predictable latency.

$Backend & API
gRPC / Proto REST Kafka Swagger buf.build

Service contracts that don't break as you scale.

$Databases
PostgreSQL Redis Elasticsearch

Queries that handle 2× load without a rewrite.

$Infrastructure
Kubernetes Docker GitLab CI/CD Yandex.Cloud AWS

Zero-downtime deploys and fast rollback when something goes wrong.

$Observability
OpenTelemetry Grafana Prometheus Jaeger Pyroscope slog / zap k6

You see what broke before users complain.

04 / ABOUT

An engineer who knows how to lead people.

Tech lead / team lead, backend engineering, focused on Go platforms. I lead a team of 7 engineers on an advertising platform that drives significant company revenue: designing architecture, building processes, and growing engineers.

I scale services to 10× the throughput, halve memory and error rates, and cut MTTR from ~3 hours to 1 hour through full observability and post-mortems. I debug traces in the morning and run 1:1s in the evening — to me, it's one job.
